Full of Life...

The Skaters, Toller Cranston
I'm happy to report that we are full of colour and life once again! The wee people are busy playing with the bits and bobs from Christmas, lots of games and 'sleepovers' are filling the house with life and laughter.
Life is good.
I hope that yours is, too.

Day of Rest. Sort of...

Two of us are down and out with a nasty tummy bug.
"Pale" would be a polite descriptor.
Dozing is the order of the day.

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear...

What a wonderful surprise from Karen !
How could she have known that I was coveting these lovely silvered 40's ornaments?
Thank you!

Pining for a tree...

...Oh, the fruitless search! Is it too much to ask for a nine foot tree? I don't think so.
For now, ornaments continue to lay in waiting.

The Joy of Belief...

"Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus."
Francis Pharcellus Church

Patience is...

...waiting for 10 inches of water to freeze.

The cold weather has finally arrived and #1, 2 and 3 are eager to lace up their skates and frolic until their toes are numb.

Truth be told, their parents can't wait either.

a lovely garden in a seed,

Life's a blur...

Doesn't it sometimes seem that life is moving too fast? It has been one of those weeks.
Time to slow down a bit & focus on the little things with the wee people...
...or at least join them in the frenzy.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

The snow is falling and I'm getting the urge to 'cosy up' the house for the holiday season.
It's time to find the Advent Calendar, bottle brush trees and other 'bits & bobs' that bring one back to childhood Christmas memories... And to make moments that become memories for our own young ones.

What is your favourite Christmas treasure?
